Welcome to the kitchen garden of Europe. The fields Around the wooded 't Veld provincial area are packed with potatoes, corn, cauliflowers, leeks, Brussels sprouts, depending on the season, celery and carrots. The Field Forest is heaven for families. Kids are free to horse around while parents enjoy the patio. Oaks and beeches dominate the former castle grounds, and one of the ponds in the centre of the forest is nicknamed 't Zeetje. One especially unique feature is the Chinese arch bridge. You may even catch some cormorants spreading their wings to dry off in front of the bird-watching hut next to the nature reserve.
