Walking Network Ieperboog Oost

Slow roads take you past vast open spaces and through beautiful forests with a rich past. World War I is recognisably present. The Road to Passchendaele leads to Tyne Cot Cemetery, the largest British military cemetery in the world. There are many more UNESCO World Heritage sites in this former front region, such as the Polygon Wood Cemetery, the Buttes New British Cemetery and the iconic Canadian monument 'The Brooding Soldier’. Vines ripen in the gently sloping valleys in the Ieperboog Oost walking network. At the top of the hill, you can enjoy beautiful views. Dadizele Basilica and Zonnebeke Castle Park are landmarks in this varied landscape. The walking network links up with the Ieperboog walking network at several points.
