Groene Gordel Brugge

The UNESCO World Heritage City of Bruges Bruges is surrounded by green spaces. We cycle through forests, castle parks and fields, along canals and through picturesque villages. In the Fort van Beieren you can still sense the history within its walls. Male Castle, locally known as Kasteel van Male, was once at the centre of Flanders. We continue our cycle trip along the quiet roads towards Damme church with its flat tower where you can climb the steps to enjoy a wonderful panorama. We look through the telescope of the Beisbroek Public Observatory and get lost in the maze of Loppem castle grounds. The many picnic areas and play areas provide some great stop-off points along the way of this unique bike ride.
